For 40 years, the Topanga Town Council (TTC) has proudly served the local interests of the residents, businesses, property owners, environment and wildlife in Topanga Canyon, and looks forward to serving you now and in the future.
The Town Council acts on your behalf in many ways—from appearing at County hearings on land development and water issues, to serving on local committees for emergency preparedness, safety and environmental causes in our canyon, to developing community communication tools such as OneTopanga.com. The Council is very active assisting our homeless, seniors and youth by supporting various local organizations in their efforts to collectively improve quality of life in our canyon.
The Town Council is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(4) non-profit organization that exists because of resident, landowner and business owner participation. All of our programs were born from community concerns and requests. Be sure to read about the Topanga Town Council’s rich history.
We welcome your ideas and participation in making all TTC programs and services be the best they can be. Proceeds from the Topanga Resident Access Cards and general donations fund the following and much more:
OneTopanga.com—the Town Council created Topanga’s virtual one-stop-shop to get connected to each other. It offers local and County resources, a community calendar, a business directory, community forum and much more. Visit OneTopanga.com now.
Topanga Resident Access Card—the card made its debut in 2009 and is one of the most important items to have in your emergency preparedness evacuation kit. This year’s 2015 Access Card honors Topanga’s amazing park volunteers, the Topanga Canyon Docents; and their organization symbol, the red tail hawk. Renew Online Online or Apply In-Person.
Other ongoing projects—the Town Council is actively involved with supporting the annual Topanga Creek Cleanup, the downtown street banner program, Fire Station 69 dinners, the Small Business Alliance’s shop local campaign, the “Slow Down Through Town” campaign, funding the portable toilet for the transient community, and working with law enforcement to reduce graffiti, crime and traffic congestion.
